It’s strange how we sometimes find inspiration in the most
unusual places. For me, it was in midst of an Indian jungle safari at Kabini
National park near Bangalore. That day all I wanted to do was to capture the
"Tiger" through my lens. But you would agree when I say “Man is
planning and god is laughing…” It was a cloudy day & I was unable to spot one.
I felt 'not so good' about my weekend spent like this.
After working long hours in office every week I used to wait for
Friday’s eagerly, so that I could pack my bags, my canon DSLR and not to
forget: My iPhone, to drive off all night to reach the jungle so that I could
reach in time for the first batch of safari. This routine never tired me; for
that was the kind of love and passion I had for wildlife photography. I love
taking pictures, and the clicking sound of my camera every time I take a
picture inspires me more to follow my passion. All my fellow photographers also
do the same, sometimes just for the love of the sound it makes!! I wanted
people to know how rich the wildlife is through my photos. During treks,
safaris and races I met a lot of artists, photographers, painters, tattoo
artists, bike modifiers and all kind of creative freaks of all ages and from
all walks of life. Everyone, including me had one issue: “How do I portray what
I see? How do I show the world, that I see things differently?!” As I always say,
every work of art is like a fingerprint. It is unique & beautiful in its
own way.
It is these thoughts, the idea, that drove me to think of a way
to provide these artists a platform to express their ideas and showcase their
work, and most importantly: Connect with similar souls beyond the boundaries
that normal life encloses us in.
I love technology and understand it has unlimited power;
whatever I wanted to do was not without it. Every person is born with a halo, an aura which
represents creativity; all it needs is a platform where it can be shared. We
call out to each other with hey, hello or heylo when we meet, it is the unanimous way of
greeting. With this in mind "heylos" was born to give people the
power to showcase their creativity and infuse our world with their beautiful
creations.
The team at heylos has been hard at work, trying to turn our
vision into a reality. I have the immense pleasure of working with some of the
most awesome people in the world. We’ve been building something that’s
fundamentally very creative and user friendly & yet different from
everything else out there.
We’re excited to share this platform with everyone across the
globe, as I personally feel there shouldn’t be any boundaries when it comes to
thinking and being creative.
It is also an excellent platform for students who wish to create
their online
portfolios for free!! We plan to expand our team and would continue
to ensure our quality of craftsmanship. So we are here to greet all you
beautiful minds with a big "heylos"!!!
