CREATIVITY & CREATIVE PEOPLE: HOW TO DISTINGUISH??
Defining creativity is little difficult for me. Let me share my thoughts.
What is creativity?
A bubble of thought ….an ability to think through……to think different, to think out of the box, to swim against the stream. It’s the zeal to make a difference.
Do you have it in you?
To think different. To create something out of ordinary. To swim against the tide.
Do you have that “C” streak in you? Am sure you do. We all have it within us. What?? …oh yes, what is “C” streak? It’s the creative streak. Do you think you are creative?
Your answer may be YES or NO. But I would say, we all have that “C” thing within us.
People who already are old players of this game are lucky to have identified your skill and having allowed yourself to grow with time.
But some of you might say “Creative & me? “. “Not at all, I do not understand what is fuchsia or cobalt blue.” Hold on right there. Do you really think you need to know colors to be called creative? Or for you, creative people are limited to those like, painters, writers, cartoonists, actors, dancers, musicians, singers, photographers, graphic designers, fashion designers etc?
But that’s not all. Every one of us is gifted with a creative mind, just that some lets it sleep within us & some allows it to run a marathon in our mind.
Have you ever been amazed to see the rainbow effect on bubbles?
Have you ever figured ice-creams, and elephants in clouds? Have you heard the music of rain pitter pattering on your umbrella and croaking of toads? Did u make plastic pouch a parachute for your GI Joe models & have thrown it out from your window, to see them fly? …..I know you must have done this in your childhood. Children are not strangled with perceived ideas. Their imaginations are not curbed, they flow free. That is when our creative streaks shine the most but with growing time we roll and pack our ideas & imaginations inside us. Our priorities change, career, family takes the front seat. Following our passion becomes little difficult. Those thoughts may seem silly, stupid and time wasting.
But if we dive inside our soul we all have those crazy, vibrant, unique ideas and we all definitely want to share with everyone around us. So friends let your beautiful minds work. Let it weave freely. You might never know when it would strike gold.
