Amature artist proud to invest and improve his work: Mauro Zuniga

Fan art of Charlie Simpson

For a student he is very mature and thinks that Art is a way to extend ourselves into the world; every human being has the ability to make art to express what they have inside them and share it with the rest of the world. He loves Bobby Chiu for his concept and character design. He likes Bobby Chiu because he inspires many artists over the world to be creative and work on their own art. Mauro recommends a book of Booby Chiu “The perfect bait” to every artist to read!
with 8 notes by Mauro Zuniga

The new generation kid thinks that the internet is the best place to find amazing art. And finds that Going to museums is great, but not everyone has the chance to visit often. That’s the reason he appreciates the fact that just turning on your pc and going online to see art from all over the world is amazing.Along with his own some illustrations he has collected some from his fellow artists/friends who make wonderful drawings.
Any teenager dream: dream to have their first “passionate kiss”, is one among the best work Mauro has worked upon, he likes it too as he has his deep emotions and thought put in the drawing.
Passionate kiss by Mauro Zuniga

Taking time from his college Mauro is working on “daily sketches” which are 1 hour drawings to keep him fresh, and also he is working on his own web comic that he is planning to sometime next year. He prefers selling his art online on DeviantArt page which can reach people around the world; there are some featured prints people can buy from there.
Starfire by Mauro Zuniga #mau009
Still a graphic design student not started to make a living of his art yet. But he dreams and wants to work hard on improving his skills so one day he can focus on selling his own stuff and making a living off it. He thinks that government doesn't support art and artists; Art is much underrated in this country. Mauro adds to his points that in his city (Medellín) they've been trying to give support to local artists, so that art can have a greater value and is more acknowledged by the citizens.

When government bodies don’t support people like Mauro come forward, whenever they can. He tries to support local artist by buying their art, or promoting them on his social networks like facebook, tublr, twitter, etc…Mauro is a sucker for music, so he likes to play music (electric bass and drums). Also likes to watch a lot of movies. He thinks that the audiovisual world is where he gets most of his inspiration from.

One surprising fact to which most people react about Mauro is that he can talk fluently in 3 languages (English, Spanish and Dutch). People will be amazed to learn that he is learning 2 more (German and French).
Fan art of Jon Snow from Game of Thrones

“When a living creature makes something out of their creativity as an extension of themselves and there’s someone to share it with: is a piece of art. Art needs to be seen! If an artist doesn’t share their art, it only exists for them and dies with them.”
Mauro thinks that Art is a way to connect with yourself and others; so work hard on your art. Don’t bother if you are sad or happy, this is the only way you will see improvement and will be proud of yourself for the effort and time you have invested.

Artist, art lovers and art investors can see his work on various social media sites Facebook: www.facebook.com/maodraws
Tumblr: mau009.tumblr.com/
Twitter: twitter.com/MaoDraws

Mauro a graphic designing student from: the Pontifician Bolivarian University of Medellín – Colombia. He is focused on illustration, because drawing is something he enjoys grandiosely. His drawings are unique pieces because he uses them as a way to express what he feels. So, even if he tries to re-make a drawing, it wouldn't be the same because emotions are something strong and changing. Even his most silly drawing has a part of him, he want to share with the world.

He has enjoyed in displaying some of his work in the university he studies at. Students at Pontifician Bolivarian University of Medellín, have the opportunity to display their final semester assignments in the designated places of the building. Last semester they had “Digital illustrations” display where students were also able to sell our own work.

Joan Reynolds : Artist working on photographs and photomontages from Dublin

About Joan Reynolds
Joan Reynolds was born in 1951. She is an artist working in photography for the last few years.  Joan studied drawing at the National College of Art and Design in 1987-88. Joan graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1998, specializing in Florentine artists of the early Renaissance.

She spent 20 years drawing and painting and directed a life-drawing class in Ardgillan Castle where she had a studio in the West Tower, and where she had a number of successful one-man shows in the 1990's and early 2000's.  She has also exhibited in The Daffodil Gallery and The Village Art Gallery in North County Dublin.Joan began using photography as a means of artistic expression in 2008 and to this end she has used a range of digital camera equipment including Pentax and Leica, and process RAW files in a digital editing suite.

Some of her images are intuitive captures, others are photo-montage works inspired by creative imaginative ideas and these are made using her own original photography.

Winter of the Soul Receding

Art to her is the most important thing,Joan considers art as,"Art makes us human".Her favorite artist is Lucien Freud. Because of his creativity, he could faithfully reproduce any face or body from any angle. She visits galleries in Dublin and prefers looking at art online.

win_walsh
Her favorite piece of work that she has created is "Reflecting on a Dream " http://joanreynolds.org/ref_dream.html

Reflecting on a Dream
At moment she is preparing her latest photographic work to be entitled "Commuting", It’s intended to be slightly surreal. She exhibits her work on her website and through Twitter. Her website is http://joanreynolds.org. She used to show her work in galleries in her area(Dublin), but they are now closed due to the recession. She works for her passion,Not make her living through art, but she wishes she could do that. She says that government support is inclined to go to regional people, more than people in the capital. As a support for locals she ran a life-drawing class for local artists,

Joan_of_Arc
Other than her art she cooks, and collect colloquial expressions. She thinks that people would find her life story surprising.

Keeping the Dissidents Out
For her art has to have a certain quality about it. Some people can reproduce something faithfully, but they don’t produce art. As an inspiration to other artists she says "If you keep working, you get inspiration to produce more and better, so long as you’re not in a rut." Her way of working is unique than some artists. When she has to work on new art, She gets visual ideas, and then take photos and merge them together to make an image.

Artist's Statement

I work from a combination of visual ideas based on unconscious, dreamlike, visionary inspiration and instinctive captures.

Because I worked as a painter to begin with, I have an artist’s way of thinking about images, and composition is very important to me, and what lies between the edges of the frame. I work mostly in colour, having a greater feeling for it, rather than black and white.
My finished images are a combination of straightforward photographs and photomontages, the latter created using my own photos from my files.

Some of my imagery is influenced by surrealism, and juxtaposes incongruous elements in order to create something more unconscious in nature.

Creative artist Bodo Vespaciano Omnia Caelum from Paris: His words

Bodo Vespaciano Omnia Caelum
Bodo, Art and Photography, Omnia Caelum, Turquía

Are you an artist/creative person/ art admirer?
I am an artist because I am a creative person.

How is art important in people’s lives?
As a tool to fight evil and as a chronicle of the times...plus it brings beauty in always unimaginable.

Do you have a favorite artist? Why do you like him/her?
            Matisse and El Greco.

What's your favorite place to see art? Do you have a gallery/museum-going routine?
Museums and galleries, like the Met in New York and El Prado in Madrid.

Do you own any pieces of art? If so, what are they?
I have a collection of my own works.

If you are an artist, What’s your favorite piece of work that you have created?
"Bass & Dancer" from my personal collection. I can link you to my Facebook page, you can see it there plus others that I love as well. www.facebook.com/OmniaCaelum

If you are an artist, What are you working on at the moment?
A graphic novel, "Carpo Cratian, Vampires in New Orleans" (samples are periodically posted in the same Facebook page through the same link, www.facebook.com/OmniaCaelum

Do you sell your work? If so Where all do you sell your work?
Yes, my work is always for sale, through internet and at galleries I've exhibited in. I will be exhibiting in November in Ft.Lauderdale, Florida, USA, details at www.facebook.com/OmniaCaelum

"...It was the lark, the herald of the morning..."
Bodo in Art and Photography at Omnia Caelum in the Aegean Sea

If you are an artist, Do you make a living off your art?
Yes, I make my living as an artist, but also my loving for I am in love with the work I do.

Do you think your country’s government gives enough financial support to local artists?
Not at all. They do not give anything.

Do you support local artists? If so, how?
I do what I can when I can how I can.

What are you doing when you’re not creating? What (other) hobbies do you have?
I write and play jazz with my group AJA, linked here: www.cdbaby.com/AJA

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Basically nothing, as an artist I am not important, why would anything be surprising about me to others?

Technically, what would you consider to be a piece of art? Why?
I am not concerned with the functions of a critic, for me,technically, there must be the knowledge of the craftsman in every artist.

Do you have any tips or inspiring words for others?
Yes...please do not think you are an artist because you've painted a "pretty" picture or because others have acclaimed your creativeness. An artist must be able to absorb the ugliness, indulge in the cutting edge and be ready to tell the story of the pain that cuts through the bone. Nature is cruel and art must not shy away from the most discordant, abhorrent and irreverent things or people. Art is not decorative piece of artistry...not everyone who paints is an artist...first become  a philosopher then a journalist and if you are truly an artist, put on your crown of thorns and go out and get crucified...

Where else can we find you?
www.facebook.com/OmniaCaelum
@Euskadi_Bakero
and Wordpress
blog:Omnia Caelum

Can you give more insight about you and your work
My work reflects nature. All art begins in the head and the ideas must flow through the fingers to the canvas, paper or marble...I do not seek to imitate the natural world, I seek to be like nature. However, within my own nature, the influence I was born with there is lots of colour and you will find unending combinations in my work and these tell their own story. You must see my work, I cannot tell you they resemble abstract, figurative or naturalistic art...one thing they are not is pop art or scenes drawn directly from nature.

Have u displayed your works in gallery/art fest ? If yes please share more details
Yes, I've exhibited in Europe, (Zaragoza, Spain); Asia,(Istanbul, Turkey)and North America,(New York, Sarasota, Bradenton and Miami). In November I will be exhibiting in Ft.Lauderdale, Florida, details to follow here:

Calligraphie Koom: Passion of Calligraphy, Scribbling, handball lettering , the handmade , gifts personalized , the decor

Are you an artist/creative person/ art admirer?
I'd rather say that I practice and develop my creativity through the art of letters that I love particularly!

How is art important in people’s lives?
I think it permit them, and us, to see special beauty , to reflect  and to be inspired

Do you have a favorite artist? Why do you like him/her?
I like a painter whose name is Faith (faith-artist.com): her work is gorgeous, it combines arabic calligraphy with colors, graff, a lot of imagination, and references to the nature.. Every painting has its own story to tell

What's your favorite place to see art? Do you have a gallery/museum-going routine?
I don't really go in museums or galleries, i'd rather find out creative pieces and original artists through internet, social medias

Do you own any pieces of art? If so, what are they?
                No, I don't

If you are an artist, what’s your favorite piece of work that you have created?
I consider myself as a student, so I don't have a piece that I made that really makes me proud.. For the moment at least!

What are you working on at the moment?
As I’m a calligray/lettering lover, I keep practicing these both areas and I take orders of customers when there are

Do you sell your work? If so where all do you sell your work?
Yes, I do, I have a website: www.calligraphiekoom.com where people can order and personalize their creations. I ad new things on the website step by step

Do you make a living off your art?
It is not, for the moment, my major source of income, because I opened my website just a few months ago, but I hope that I will be able to live off my work, it's one of my goal

Do you think your country’s government gives enough financial support to local artists?
Hmmm, I don't think so, being a local artist is seen as an insecure position, same thing if you are a small entrepreneur. Some supports exist of course, but they don't really make people want to create/develop their own activity I think..

Do you support local artists? If so, how?
I try to support in the best way creative initiatives, entrepreneurs, not necessary in my city, but in my country in general (France) and even abroad, by buying their products, sharing their work...

What are you doing when you’re not creating? What (other) hobbies do you have?
I read, I go to lectures, seminars, I like to learn other languages and keep improving myself in letter art

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
that I completely live off my passion

Technically, what would you consider to be a piece of art? Why?
Something that somebody imagined/created/transformed, and where we can find, just by looking at it, some [subjective] beauty that wasn’t there before the person worked on it

Do you have any tips or inspiring words for others?
Do what you like to do, don't waste your time doing something you hate, just because people around you say that it's “safer”. Be confident, prove them that you're capable of doing great things!
