Self made, inspired by nature, Artist from Bath, England: Bella Bee By Heylos

Bella  believes in bringing happiness through her art works. For her art is an idea which has been formed and honed in a beautiful way, communicating a thought or feeling.

She supports other artists by helping them exhibit locally. She is also the  member of the Bath Area Network for Artists.  She has exhibited at local South West venues such as The Paintworks Bristol, MOMA Wales, RUH Bath. Avon Mill, Devon and a solo exhibition at Thrupp, Oxon.

Bella is an avid art collector  with collections ranging from a glass mosaic bought at an art show in Frome by Jenny Raggety, a charcoal study by Oliver Bedeman, lino cut print by Amanda Coleville, an illustrative mirror by Jack Beaumount, an oil painting by Martin Beek - and many more!

Her favorite piece of work created is usually the piece she is working on at that time as she says : She gives her heart ,love and soul into her creation. But she is attached to some of her past works like  "Lifeboat" – a mixed media ceramic illustrating the little memories we keep to take us through. and "Lightning Tree", an oil painting which she felt represented life of the family which overlook a stricken oak on the horizon.

Her favorite artist who has influenced her works is Kit Williams who brought art to her attention fully, and children’s illustrators such as Bilibin.

Bella confidence quotes to other artists:
"Do not listen to what others say, maintain your own integrity.  Stay true to yourself and persevere".

Bella also thinks that one's country’s government should give enough financial support to local artists as it would bring about enhancing creativity and generating a public interest which in turn helps the very cause and existence of artists like the new sculpture ‘The Kelpies’ has proved that with little funding and support it can generate enormous results.

When she is  not creating you can find her spending time with friends, Swimming, reading, listening to music.

When asked about what would people be surprised to learn about you and your works ?

She says that: She is s
een as someone who is quite loud and brimming with confidence, but she is an intrinsically a shy person and often prefers her own company.
In her works : She present the world around her as she see it.

"The longer I live the more beautiful it becomes and it is impossible not to be inspired and join in with the creation"
